Denali Puppy Cam: Its exactly what it sounds like. They raise sled dogs at Denali National Park and you can watch them live! The live stream is up for four more days and then puppy cam season ends. The webcam is shut down each fall as temperatures start to drop well below freezing, nights become darker and longer, and the staff and adult dogs begin their busy fall training season in preparation for winter.

Bear Cam: Live feed of Brooks Falls at Katmai National Park in Alaska. Sound on to hear the river water. There are multiple live feeds from different locations near there. Search on You Tube to find them all and to see highlight reels.
The Pharmacy Museum: It's in my top 3 suggestions for out of towners and I've been more times than I can count, so it's legit for locals too. Do the guided tour. It's only Saturday and Sunday at 10am. The guides are amazing and compelling storytellers. Get there this weekend to take advantage of Museum Month discounts. Don't be late, they lock the door when the tour begins.

I went to Houston a few weeks ago to visit my Hottie Hoop Camp friends and we went to Art Asylum, an art supply resale shop, which calls itself part craft store, part thrift store, part salvage yard and part antique store. SWOON. It's priced by weight and they have every craft supply you can think of. Put it on your next Houston trip itinerary. Reply back if you want to partner in opening something similar in New Orleans.
The novel, The Measure, by Nikki Erlick. My mom recommended this book to me. I listened to the audio version while on the road. Compelling concept and cinematic storytelling.

The Sunday Crescent City Farmers Market in City Park. This is my favorite weekend routine. There's prepped food, produce, plants, coffee & juice, seafood, poultry, tofu, honey, and lots of other delicious items. It recently moved from by Tad Gormley Stadium to right next to City Putt and the Great Lawn. The new location is an upgrade and there's lots of nice spots to sit and enjoy your snacks and the scene.
